That is not the way it works. The record is rare now, and, because of
that, interresting for some to own. In case of a re-release, the
original will be priced higher than the re-release, but not higher
than what it is today.

Give me one reason for a record getting more expensive, when the music
on it is more easy to acquire than before. The people who want rare
records never enjoy re-releases, because their old gems aren't as
unique anymore. That won't increase the prices. The people who want
the songs can get them by buying the re-release. That won't increase
the price. The re-release of a record can't increase the value of the
original. It works the other way.

Ant to comment on the MASK example: If they were avaliable for cheap
money, instead of being expensive, the prices of the expensive ones
would not increase. A simple example of pricing set by demand. Higher
avaliability - less potential buyers per copy - lower price.
