I usually make a point of avoiding those people. they prefer to listen to experimental music because they just have to be that cutting edge. true again. It's interesting to know what "cutting edge" means in a relative sense to the listener. One person's "cutting edge" could be The Prodigy, you know. if you asked 2 random people who their favourite band is, and one says david bowie and one says merzbow, who are you more likely to hang around with? the merzbow guy because, hey, he likes merzbow, he's gotta be COOL. well, no. I would never make a personal association with anyone solely based on their musical tastes. In my experience, the people with the most esoteric and "sophisticated" musical tastes are the least fun to be around. To hang around with someone because they prefer Merzbow to David Bowie is just...shallow. np: David Bowie - Low nxt: Merzbow - Music for Bondage ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ xxxx@xxxxxxxxx.xxx, Peter Becker - North American Distribution, Retail marketing, DJ Pool, Demo tape filter Asphodel : PO Box 51, Chelsea Station, NY NY 10113 p: (212) 604-9362 , f: (212) 604-0783 , http://www.asphodel.com ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
