I won't even play a small keyboard because it hoses my piano training... Time spent learning a new instrument is time that could be spent refining old instrument skills, for sure. But certainly I want to play a Linnstrument at some point. Learning an instrum= ent does NOT hamper your ability to play another, quite the contrary, skill= s carry over from one to the next. This coming from a guy who plays guitar,= bass, cello, keyboards, drums, trombone, percussion, voice.. > I just got a Linnstrument, and it's incredibly intuitive, much easier to = learn than a piano type KB IMO. There are probably better user interfaces than 6 strings and a= couple of pickups as guitars have (Chapman Stick?), but guitars aren=E2=80= =99t going away in the foreseeable future, because there=E2=80=99s too much= collective playing memory invested in that design. > > > > Same goes for the keyboard interface. Easy, the Linnstrument does that and way more. I rea= lly think it's the future. Keyboards are great for keyboard sounds (pianos,= organs, clavs etc) for everything else an isomorphic multidimentional touc= h controller is the way forward! > > > > On Wed, May 1, 2019 at 11:09 AM Scott Fox <xxxxxxxxx@xxxxx.xxx> wrote: > > Imho, the JDXA was a lot of fun. > > > > "Right.
