>i was watching that classic 80's movie "risky business" and couldn't >help but notice how the music that's playing throughout the very end of >the movie sounded just like some Global Communication. Sure enough, the >melody and rhythm are remarkably similar to GC's "8:07" from the album >"76:14". now it's a safe bet that tom and mark made the album track well >after the movie soundtrack was made. >my curiousity (and boredom) made me search out an logical answer to this >odd coincidence and i have found that Tangerine Dream did the film score >to "risky business". >now, have the GC boys been rippin' off Tangerine Dream all these years >without anyone clueing in? have i uncovered something big?! This has been mentioned dozens of times in the past. GC's "Maiden Voyage" is basically an uncredited cover of TD's "Love on a Real Train." I'm guessing the reason TD never took any action against GC is because "Love on a Real Train" is itself a shameless ripoff of one section of Steve Reich's Music for 18 Musicians. C.
