It sounds like "Your Consciousness Goes Bip"  by Snooze from his album The
Man In the Shadow.  Great album if you like hip hoppy/acid jazzy orchestral
stuff.  It's kinda in the same vein as Fila Brazillia (circa _Mess_ or so).
 The album got domestic distribution some time ago on a label I can't
remember.  Someone asked about that on here not too long ago.  
        It might not be though, cause I wouldn't call it pop exactly.  That song
is kind of catchy and all, but it's not really pop.  To clarify, did the
song you're thinking of have d&b-ish beats (very mellow, but quasi d&b)?
