actually one of the first things I noticed when I joined this list is that eat static, and most planet dog artists, are *never* discussed. there are probably several reasons for this. everyone probably already knows about them and there isn't much to talk about. don't get me wrong, eat static made some great cuts and all, but often leaves much to be desired. I hear their live performance is great though. the label is planet dog, the album is probably their latest, I can't remember what it is called though. i didn't find it very interesting. other planet dog artists are timeshard (recommended), banco de gaia (some stuff is good, but the latest "big men cry" is atrocious) and children of the bong (who are also pretty good). I haven't seen much from them lately other than eat static's and banco's full lengths. they have a compilation called "transmissions from planet dog" which has some classic stuff on it and worth the $11 or whatever it costs (2 cds). oh yeah -- eat static is two members of ozric tentacles I believe. > i was reminded while flipping through channels during my 2:30am snack > that amp still exists. i saw a video by eat static. it was pretty > generic, the track was pretty generic, but it was also kinda nice and > simple d+b. can anyone provide more info on this artist? i didnt catch > the track/album/label info. im sure they've been discussed and i wasnt > paying attention. > thanks > andy > > _____________________________________________________________________ > You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. > Get completely free e-mail from Juno at http://www.juno.com > Or call Juno at (800) 654-JUNO [654-5866]
