Here is the Wang Inc. press release...

WANG Inc. is a corporation of sound research founded by Bartolomeo "Bart" Sailer. Its laboratories synthesize a product with a new concept: the sounds of industrial articles are catched, isolated, manipulated and applied to the final product of Wang inc., the electronic dance music.

Bart (born in 1971) studies ancient history and is a passionate reader of science fiction; he takes an interest in the past and in the future, but with his music Bart describes the present. His favourites sounds are the sounds of daily objects, the ones nobody pays attention to but everybody hears and recognizes. Bart collects this sounds and sinthesizes even new ones. ..."When I was just a little child, my mama was always saying to me : never
do these huggly sounds again!"...

Today Bart, with the help of technology, can reproduce, through dance rhythms, right the sounds that his mama hated. Now she can listen to them without hating them.

The first catalogue of "sound for a possible dance music" concerns plastic and metal objects. "PLASTIC/METAL" (Wang Zang recordings,1998,only 50 copies) is the first Wang Inc. organic creation. Special guest is his cat Tigrina, that likes a lot to walk on the keyboards to change the settings. Bart's "masters" are the futurist composer G.Russolo and A.Mayer, the theorist of "time walk" and famous italian contemporary "concret music"
composer.

The first audience of this music were the people at the concerts of the italian Autechre tour and at the last italian exhibition of ORB. Wang Inc. has also played live at the Modern Art Gallery of Bologna with a multimedia show.

Bart plays also as "ecologic DJ", because he wants to fight the "acoustic pollution" of the typical dance music. In his Djing he uses real sounds and gentle sounds, trying to make people think about the beauty of sounds.
