i just recently bought a minidisc recorder, the sharp 702. i don't yet
have the gescom MD, but i plan on ordering it soon. my question is
that when i cut up a recording into 30 tracks or so and had it do
random play, it had a 1-second pause between playing each track. is
this because it is a recordable MD (so it will work correctly, without
gaps, with the prerecorded gescom one) or is it my sharp player (which
i can still return, if so)?

my recordable md's play beautifully without any buffer whatsoever on my sony
md walkman recorder. my only complaint is that it'll only allow about 250 id
points!
but the chances for rapid fire musique concret are staggering !

btw, imo, the gescom md ( as well as the farmersmanual 'explorers we'), both
supposedly made for shuffle play, are much more amazing left alone and played
in normal sequence. why deconstruct the already deconstructed ?
