i drove up to san fransisco this weekend to see some friends..
while i was up there, i hit a few clubs..

tuesday night i went to static at the cat club:
kid clayton played live, and some of the cytrax kids djd.. was all very
good. venue was pretty cool too.. little bar in downtown. kid clayton
was way way dubby and chain reaction-like. oddly enough, the next day i
picked up "the model and the mimick" (i think thats whats its called?) 12"
-- SUPER good dubby minimal techno stuff.. heroin house/dub? :)

thursday night went to the insight v.01 thing at 111 minna:
111 minna is a nice little art gallery.. in fact, there was a showing of
some groovy sculptures that were all somehow based on skulls (...place
them on my wall...). all three performances were pretty damn cool.. but i
only know that lexaunculpt and lilienthanl were on the bill -- who was the
very first band?

anyway.. thanks to all for putting on the above events.. they were good
fun! and sf is amazing! and open mind is a neat store! and random
hippie girls on haight street are good!
