It seems like every time I happen to hear NPR's All Things Considered do an album review, it's something eletronic. Orbital, Underworld, and tonight it was Basement Jaxx. I suppose it's all part of this musics' entrance into mainstream culture. First the car commercials, now Basement Jaxx on NPR. What's next, I wonder? The reviewer seemed to think favorably of "Remedy," though most of the review was him attempting to tell the listener exactly what kind of music it is. Wha? Joe Six Pack doesn't know the 909 thump? amusing quote from the review: "Disco and it's younger offspring, house music, have been going through a resurrgence lately. Though when you get down to it, it's all disco." Yeah, well... Lauren ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
