Once again, check http://avalon.net/~kent/music/amen/

which has the original break. As has been reiterated over and over,
the Amen break came from a track called "Amen Brother" which was released
in 1969 by a group called The Winstons.

The Amen break is something of an internet virus -- every version I've
ever has been a version of the same original wav file. You can distinguish
it because it's 3 bars, and the last bar is truncated by about 1/10th of
a second.
