If you're going to build a polysynth using a reliable VCO circuit with minimal parts count (important to keep cost reasonable) and without custom components like CEMs or tempcos, the Moog Source is a very good one to clone. Having owned and gigged a Source since 1985, I can attest that its VCO is very very reliable and stays in tune. And that's *important* in a polysynth. The Source VCO circuit is identical to the Prodigy. The Source VCO->VCF->VCA voice is further ideal for polysynths due to complete CV control for programmability. And the EGs are novel non-software circuits that are very snappy. The Memorymoog is the only other Moog voice that is programmable but it is heavy in CEM count. Sent from my iSchematicLibrary, MC
