Chris: I've only had a chance to give em one quick listen, but, to be brief, V/Vm's Pig is on pink vinyl, pink sleeved, with a lovely little pig sticker on the labels. One side is the sounds of pigs at the slaughterhouse awaiting their fate (I'm a vegetarian, but had I not been, this might have prodded me in that direction), the other is sortof an "interview" (again, one rushed listen) with a worker in the pig industry. The 4 X 7" Machine (component parts 1-4) package is in grey (vinyl and packaging) with assembly line type of packaging (tick boxes, check marks, punch codes, etc) and the music is the sounds of machines (literally at times and f*cked with, at times(. Again, from one quick listen. Oh I relish the days when I had nothing to do but listen to records and devote to them 100% of my attention, play them over and over and over again ;) Andrew PS I'm doing up the March Electronics Report and RA chart this week and they'll be some V/Vm represented in there (hopefully more coherently than the above blather) sfwd_prod wrote: > sitting here thinking about how much i miss lance's once > regularly posted reviews (don't really care what excuse you have > lance, i miss them just the same!), writing up a slew of my own to post > and was hoping that someone might be so kind as to post a review of > the v/vm machine 7"s... not about how much they cost, how many nickles > and dimes that they probably didn't get out of it, but what the damn things > actually sound like and what people's impressions might be. still waiting > on copies but i'm dying to here them. would really appreciate it > > xxxx@xxxxx.xxx > icq_12645306 > http://www.sonic.net/~brap/ -- Andrew Duke Cognition Audioworks 1096 Queen St #123 Halifax NS Canada B3H 2R9 TEL 902-422-7132 FAX 902-422-1262 http://www.globalserve.net/~cognition (Cognition Audioworks/In The Mix: listen : read) --online now: world premieres from The Persuader and DJ Jasper and Kit Clayton In The Mix show 578:Juan Atkins/Danny Zelonky (Low Res)/Mark Wee
