the 'green space' show in LA last night was really quite good.
somewhat of a pretentious and small venue, but it worked out okay overall.

all the music was quite impressive.

lexaunculpt: i guess our friend alex has stirred up some attention for
himself -- which i really do feel he deserves. while there is still room
for him to grow and find his place in electronic music, alex never fails
to impress me.. and i look forward to watching his progress over the new
year. this time around he really went on the dark and moody tip with some
amazing soundscapes and beats! the material he played (or some of it) may
be going to a pretty well known label... so keep your eyes out.

richie devine: this guy is so insane (performing or not) :) first, he
had a coil shirt on. this is important. second, the music he played last
night crossed so many levels and genres -- bits of jungle, idm, noise,
hardcore?, ambient.. to be honest, this was one of the most original
performances i have ever seen. quite amazing. imagine good solid mego
style noise as re-sung by cute little aliens running around and blowing up
random raver kids (complete with solid beats).

phoenecia: honestly, last night seemed like a bad night for josh and
rom -- which is too bad, because last time i saw them they tore the shit
up! seemed to be some gear problems (sampler) which they are getting
fixed before their next gig (i think SF). DO NOT MISS THESE GUYS! given
that theyput on the BEST SHOW last time i saw them and no one has anything
to say but amazing things about them -- im sure that the SF performance
will be insane. i jsut hope they come back sometime soon.

2 silver boxes (djing): what i heard of these guys was pretty solid
material. i just wish that they would appear on more flyers in so-cal.
good electro-ish stuff.

promoters: all of these kids are super super amazing live. please
consider them for future events.

thanks to the green space/orange folk for making this happen.

chris.
