no, what's interesting is that the palette is *nothing* like snd.  much
harsher, much more trebly; none of the bubbly, soothing (you're spot on,
there) textures from the snd releases.

on this morning's listen, i'm definitely enjoying it more than yesterday.
but i'd certainly never have guessed this was snd-related.
