Is there a lowpass? Which cutoff? How steep? Is there a compander in the signal flow? How is the Feedback achieved? All those facts determine the sound of a flanger. Not the variety of the BBD chip. For example Roland changed the RS09 from SAD to MN series, without any difference soundwise. Florian
