Anyone care to school me in a primer on mid-tempo breakbeat? For some time now, I've really been digging the handful of 12"s I've got by Midnight Funk Association. (And just lately I got a hold of "Form Freaks," by Danmass -- similar feel, a little lightweight maybe, but there's some simple summery pleasure to it.) But when it comes to mixing my MFA records, it's been a bitch, since I don't have much else that falls into that same mid-tempo bracket. What else is out there that fits this sub-genre? Does anyone play this out much? thanks, phil
