Granted, "Just for a Day" may not have > been the most original album okay, maybe Slowdive weren't the worst of the 'crappy shoegazer bands' :) - I even liked some of their tracks. But the albums used to really drag on.. :) >they've had excellent collaborations with both Eno and Reload. The Reload thing was just a case of them remixing one of slowdive's tracks wasn't it? - unless there was some other collaborative piece? > For those who care, Slowdive's latest incarnation Mojave 3 just released > an album produced Mark Van Hoen (aka Locust). I've got the first Mojave 3 album and by sheer coinincidence popped it on last night to check whether my feelings had changed toward it. They hadn't. Although some of it is good in a slow, minimal, dreamy sort of way, there isn't enough variation - one song sounding like another - and there are frequent lapses into sounding dreary. I'm interested in how the new one sounds though, it's been a while since the last came out (was it 1995?). Nick
