I agree, I am supprised that fat cat does not get mentioned more.
However, I have my theories as to why:

1.  no definite sound.  They put out what they want to put out. 
2.  span many genres 
3.  more experimental in nature 
4.  Fat Cat is not really into the crunchy/strange beat/dsp influenced
electronics that has become popular in recent months (years?)
5.  release to much.  Hard to keep up and keep it straight.

Either way though, people should pay attention to them.

notable recent fat cat release (thought not idm):

transient waves - sonic narcotic  (or something like that, working from
memory).    A little short but if you liked their bliss out material pick
this up at once.
