Yeah, that's understandable. Lumpy Gravy does have a web site, though, which
lists upcoming shows. Here's the URL:

Hopefully, they'll have similar stuff in the near future. Right now they only
have event info for the rest of this month and nothing looks to promising.

I just figured with labels such as Plug Research and Isophlux so close that the
scene would be further developed, I guess. Information flow is vital, though,
as you mentioned. Maybe we should start some sort of web page for posting IDM
type events in the LA area. I'd be willing to do it and if we had a small
collective of people we could easily keep the page updated with current info.
Just a thought. Let me know if anyone is up for this.

Yeah, I drove to LA from Arizona to see that one. Perfect example about
getting the word out. I bet lots of people present at that event lived out of
the LA area and/or out of state.

Well, it seems from the posts here that a few made it at least. Not Breathing
collaborated with Mark Spybey on stage to create the best moments of the night,
as already noted. However, Phylr and FM Einheit had some good moments also.
Phylr even had a live drummer to add another element to the tracks. I do wish
Scorn made it, though. However, under the circumstances I completely
understand his position.

I liked the fact that FM Einheit had some sort of metal device on stage that he
stroked to give a small element of Einstuzende Neubauten in the set. Overall
the sound was a bizarre take on pop music with a female vocalist and his
interpretaion of "songs". Despite the 10 people on stage, Pigface left me
underwhelmed -- so much so that I left mid-way through their set to visit
Aron's records since it was in the neighborhood and that cheered me up! Any
IDMers ever in LA should check out Aron's -- they're the only store around that
I've seen to regularly carry Rather Interesting CDs... plus they have lots of
other goodies.

I'll probably pass on the Neverland rave (thanks for the heads up though), but
I can't wait to see Neotropic, Chocolate Weasel and DJ Vadim in action!
