Re: [AH] DX7 Vs...

I still want a DX7iiFD-I'd prefer that over a regular DX7-don't care
about lower-fi audio over higher-fi. Grungy never really works here at
Chaotica.....It has better audio and better sounds.

By the time the kid who used to live in the 18' camp trailer next door
moved away he was very aware of my Gear profile. Last week he dropped
off a Yamaha SY85 he scavenged from a local resident for "about
$5.00"...("Once I saw the midi jacks I knew it was yours!!" he said...)
So I'm now on the AWM2 platform for the first time. A couple of buttons
don't work and the about 5 keys seem have suffered a beer spill, but
it's largely working, though it was very dirty.... (There's a lot of
dirt out here in the desert lol-I got dust blowing in through the roof
of the shed every time the wind kicks up...)  I don't know what the FD
will do but I have a couple of original factory disks around here
somewhere...   The utility button is one of the few not working so I
will  be opening it up sooner than later as I can't fuck with the midi
setup without it.

The last thing around here after the $$ purge/forced retirement/income
drop that speaks DX is the FM7 copy I own. Last night I downloaded
DX-Android, to randomize FM7 patch creation and saved  recently
mentioned Chowning text to the HD from the Yamaha website...

DX-Android i something I always wanted to mess around with. It'll work
on Win 10 with STeem.

Now there ain't nothing but time so why not, eh??

I watch you guys get and give brand new analog synths costing 2-3k now
which is 2-3 times my monthly income and I have realized that there's a
nice pretty new real analog party going on out there I can never really
attend. It's really quite exciting though to have someone drop off a
freebie... even if it's just an SY85. Never had an SY85 before, ya know...

More Hybrid Arts stuff here...
