Hmmm....while I'm waiting for the Aquasky to ship, I decided to spin a
promo of the Hive record I've had laying around for a long time. Nothing
groundbreaking, but this is a really NICE ride - lotsa fun. D-n-B with a
Ninja-esque mentality; a lot of samples and beat change-ups. Add to that
the new WE record and I'd then ask exactly what you mean by "dead". If
you mean that the genre has been considerably sretched and trodden and
maybe no longer can spew forth something un-heard of, then maybe. If you
mean that nothing interesting or remotely buy-worthy grows in those
fields, I'd respectfully disagree.
