And then from there I got into Squarepusher, and Photek. Which > lead to [crap], Arcon 2, [shite], etc. etc. Finally, somebody acknowledges the existence of Arcon 2. That album is one of the coolest jungle pieces I've heard since..... well, T Power's Self Evident Truth of an Intuitive Mind. I completely dig people who take jungle up a knotch with dark, yet developed melody. I've heard a few bits and bobs on the No-U-Turn label (the Torque comp, and a few 12"'s) and my general impression of the roster is NOT ENOUGH SNARES! Grr.... it's so boring to me. And it's not really that dark. I have the same gripe with No-U-Turn that I do with Panacea.... too much empty space, no enough development. Now if you really want a dark jungle track, just pick up the Chaos and Julia Set "Learn to Fight" 12", and prepare to be blown away. That fucker never fails to scare the hell out of me... dense snare rushes, a whalloping bass roll and slick production. I think everyone should chill out and listen to Terry Lee Brown Jr. :) Aaron
