so im sick and trying to get better and kinda low and cash. i decide not to go to pole tonight -- just not feeling up to it. i come home to get music for my show to make the best of my evening. go to find some cds, and learn that someone spilled water or something in a container full of some of my most valued cds and all those cds that i have with paper/cardboard cases (rather than jewel cases). 100 or so pieces of music were damaged. i feel like a junkie that had some of his drugs flushed down the toilet. the worst part isnt that the cases got all wrinkly and some of the ink got fucked or whatever -- its the cases that stuck to eachother and had to be ripped to get them apart. that sound is the saddest sound i have ever heard. <socal specific below> hope those of you who went to pole and neotropic had a fun night! perhaps i will see some of you at the nightnoise reunion at dervish (long beach at portfolio coffee) or at breakdown (tikibar in costa mesa) tomorrow night. chris. music,four lunchpails: wednesdays 7-8pm kuci 88.9fm www.kuci.org _believe in where you.re going but don.t lose your yesterdays_
