I've just found something pretty interesting for Cape Town - a promo (but sold at a disgustingly f-u-l-l price) of something titled BLECH (urh, original, yes?) by PLEXIQ : label 'clearspot'. This would appear to be a German release, but there's pretty little information on this cardboard sleeve. It's got 8 tracks, total running time a skimpy 47 minutes on CD. They were playing it out in the shop when I went in to trawl through their 2nd hand vinyls and it's a brilliant eclectic mix of material ranging from the trip-hoppy toward Add N to X tip, although at this point it's all fresh and new to me and I won't venture toward anything approaching a 'review'. Does anybody have any info on who is involved in this venture? Ha, I'm about to go and join the enemy camp :-)) Hallucinogen (yes, them that did LSD which finds its way onto so many techno / ambient comps) are here for an outdoor trance party (we've got the weather while you plural over *there* have the wrinkle-free complexions - okay? There's always a trade-off) and this will be an all-nighter under the stars on farmland near the beach, about 45 mins drive up the coast. Bring your own water... Get ya later. I * np : plexiq "razorman" - which has what sounds like live drums.
