Don't tell me you're trying to say that Rebirth is an accurate emulation of
the 808. It's no better than the R8 Dance/Rap card. (I can confirm this
story BTW. Ae is a big R8 user. It's all over the Anti EP, especially
"Flutter")

    When you twist a knob in Rebirth it merely crossfades between samples.
It's not even close to an emulation. Things like the attack and decay
envelopes on the bass drums can be easily done in software by clipping the
samples, but you're still going to get a static, very digital sound since
you're only using samples.
