I'll admit I was rather surprised, as it reminds me a lot more of Mego and other "mainstream" (heehee) digital manipulation than I would expect from Atom Heart. As with Mego stuff (and in line with his own comments on them!) I find it all a bit technical, more like exercises than music with any feeling.

My thoughts on Dos Tracks :) (yes, the smiley is part of the title):

I like it, very much. I wish it were available on vinyl. I think it sort of
sits somewhere between Richie Hawtin's Concept material and Mike Ink's Profan
stuff, especially the M:I:5 digital cut-up ish.

I had the opportunity to listen to it both on headphones and in the car. I
liked both - headphones showed the intricate detail that AH likes to put into
his material, and the car was great for that "bump it loud" kind of thing. If
I only had a subwoofer in the trunk I'd have been grinning ear-to-ear...as it
was, some of the low-end was missing (and wow, is it ever there), but it was
fun regardless.

Cheers,

Bill
