you're right, it is hard sometimes.  i mean, i'll go into a shop and 
experience what you're talking about all the time.  the guys who work 
there automatically think i don't know jack about the music because i've 
got blonde hair and makeup on.  it's really frustrating when they're 
pointing out the latest happy hardcore and i'm looking for the complete 
opposite.  one guy in Chicago actually CHOKED when i asked for the new 
mu-ziq EP awhile ago...it's crazy.

the most important thing is not to judge on appearance or the fact that 
somebody's a girl or a boy.  i mean, just because somebody happens to be 
a boy at a party doesn't mean that i assume he's a know-all, and just 
because somebody's a girl doesn't mean they're clueless either...if you 
go around making assumptions on shit like that you're gonna miss meeting 
a lot of really hip people, right?  (YOU in the figurative sense).

what do the rest of you hip chicks think?
