Warp did sign artists like Black Dog, LFO, B12, and Autechre, before they were known. I never heard of Max Tundra before Warp signed him. They are a highly respected label and have done an amazing job. Are they expected to only put out music by unknowns? Or are they should they sign people that excite them. > He went on to back up what he said by stating that > Warp didn't sign Aphex > until he had already released his select ambient > works on R&S, as well as > other artist like Jimi Tenor who had non-Warp > releases before being picked up > by Warp and also Squarepusher, who was on Spymania > before being picked up by > Warp. If so, then they were definitely wrong. > I thought it was an interesting point of view from > Dylan. Sounds like Jega could be a little jaded. Perhaps, Warp has turned down alot of his demos. I really liked his first ep on Skam, but he hasn't been that impressive since. His remix of Michael Fakesh and Mark Broom were nice. His tracks on MASK really sucked!! His album was also really boring. Sounded really generic Cheers _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://mail.yahoo.com
