Since we are talking about expansion modules for the A-152, I thought I wou= ld put a suggestion for achieving something similar with the A-154. I think= a good and inexpensive expansion module for the A-154 would be a small pan= el with 8 jacks that a stand alone A-154 would plug into, that would provid= e 16 sequentially addressed gate outs controlled by the A-154. Basically a = gate sequencer instead of the standard A-155. It would be nice if the modul= e had a header to accept the ribbon from the A-154 and also have a =93pass-= through) header allowing the connection to more than one module to run in p= arallel.=20 I have always loved the idea of a =93modular=94 sequencer with all the func= tions of a classic sequencer broken out into separate modules that could be= combined to make a custom sequencer of your own design. With the A-154 as = the =93brain=94 of the system, you could have expansion modules like this g= ate out module I just described, a small panel with pots for the CV generat= ing part (that could be chained for more rows), a 16-position sequential sw= itch module, and other modules that would connect up. This way you could de= sign a =93sequencer=94 with as many rows of CV out, Gate outs, Trigger outs= , or whatever you wanted. It could be as big or small as you wanted.=20 I started to make a system like this with my PGM-4X4 series which can be st= acked as high as you have cabinet space. in programmer mode, it can address= its columns using a internal, very basic, sequencer or manually or via ext= ernal gates. I currently run two of them with the outputs from a A-152 but = the A-154 would be a MUCH better controller since it provides clock outs to= o.=20 I asked Dieter a long time ago about accessing the header on the A-152 and = was given the pinout (Thanks Mr.D) which when buffered for protection reaso= ns, can provide a trigger when the A-152 changes stages. This makes the A-1= 52 a much easier module to use when using the CV stage address method.
