hi Patrick, i do believe that System 8 and the Boutique synths (the ACB technology from Roland) can indeed substitute for the original Jupiter 8 and more. it will not sound as full and warm as the original synth, but, inside a track mix, i think no one will be able to tell one thing from the other. and that is what counts really. thanks, Bakis.
