Its from thrive records (an artist-owned label), and is out now. The album is readily available in all music stores. Has anyone heard about the movie, itself? I've been hearing a lot of buzz about it for over a year or so. -- Niraj Agarwalla Personal Claims - MIG Weston, MA x27520 SDN: 8-462-7520 FAX: 781-891-6673 > -----Original Message----- > From: Broken [SMTP:xxxxxx@xxxx.xxxxxxx.xxx] > Sent: Wednesday, July 22, 1998 10:01 AM > To: Aaron Michelson > Cc: Agarwalla, Niraj; 'xxx@xxxxxxxxx.xxx' > Subject: Re: (idm) Pi Soundtrack > > What label is this on and when's it due out? > > Howie > > On Wed, 22 Jul 1998, Aaron Michelson wrote: > > > Date: Wed, 22 Jul 98 09:42:27 -0500 > > From: Aaron Michelson <xxxxx@xxxxxx-xxxxxxxx.xxx> > > To: "Agarwalla, Niraj" <xxxxx.xxxxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx>, > > "'xxx@xxxxxxxxx.xxx'" <xxx@xxxxxxxxx.xxx> > > Subject: Re: (idm) Pi Soundtrack > > > > >Has anyone checked out the soundtrack for the movie _Pi_ yet? > > >Great IDM stuff in it like Orbital, Aphex Twin, Autechre, etc. > > > > Picked up an advance during David Holmes' gig at Smartbar in > > Chicago during Billboard.... about 70% of it is brilliant! > > > > Here's the tracklisting: > > > > Clint Mansell - [pi]r2 > > Orbital - P.E.T.R.O.L. > > Autechre - Kalpol Intro > > Aphex Twin - Bucephalus Bouncing Ball > > Roni Size - Watching Windows (Ed Rush & Optical remix) > > Massive Attack - Angel > > Clint Mansell - We Got Da Gun > > David Holmes - No Man's Land > > Gus Gus - Anthem > > Banco de Gaia - Drippy > > Psilonaut - Slow Song > > Spacetime Continuum - A Low Frequency Inversion Field > > Clint Mansell - 2[pi]r > > > > The Clint Mansell tracks plainly bite.... lack of imagination > > or technical creativity.... and the Banco De Gaia track, well, > > it sounds like typical Banco De Gaia material.
