Just finished interviewing John Tejada for a future In The Mix show.
His new album, "Little Green Lights And Four Inch Faders" will be
released two or three weeks from next Monday. It is *not*, as
previously speculated, a limited release, so it's *not* limited to 500
CDs and 500 vinyl copies. It is on Chris Massey's A13 label (has
released quality stuff like the recent Repeat) and will likely be
distributed by Kudos, so it shouldn't be a problem picking it up if
you're interested. (12 tracks of quality techno, highly
recommended--you can hear a track from it in part 3 of In The Mix show
575). Won't spill more beans before the interview airs, but the next
Palette release, #8, will be out in 2 or 3 weeks. It's a 4 tracker
called the "Genre" EP and features another track with Arian Leviste.
It's more techno along the lines of Palette 6, and not housey like
Palette 7 (City of Drumrolls, City Of Headaches--don't worry, we did
talk about his song titles!) He's got an EP coming out on Titonton
Duvante and his partner's Residual label. And he's got a track on Jon
Williams' Organized Noise comp (called "Octet") *and* Dan Kurzius'
Sidereal comp (*also* called "Octet"). Also putting together a Palette
CD comp called "Significant Numbers" that will feature mostly previously
released Palette material, but also some unreleased goodies. That will
be out in late 98 or early 99. Interview will air on In The Mix show
576 (along with a Damon Wild interview and D.JeRome with an electro
mix). Andrew
