I'm passing along some solutions I found for the infamous "Hardware Disconnected" problem with the Minitaur editor. Using Mac Pro (2012, last of the "cheese grater" model) and MacBook Pro Retina early 2015, OSX v10.13.2 When I downgraded the firmware from v2.2.1 to v2.2.0, I got the editor to work on the MBP. The firmware upgrade software isn't always reliable. A couple of days later, editor stopped working again on my MBP. It has two USB3 ports - when I tried the one on the left, the editor worked. Back to the one on the right, it doesn't work. But both ports work with thumbdrives. The Minitaur seems to be sensitive to USB ports, so a good approach is to try different ports. No idea why it didn't like the other port, and when checking About This Mac it reports OK. It doesn't say USB-C. My Mac Pro has USB2 ports and the editor did work fine in the past. I abandoned Windows back in 2012 so no idea about that platform. Sent from my iMinitaurDiagnostics, MC
