fyi, world standard are led by haruomi hosono, ex-yellow magic orchestra
member. he's released many solo albums, but his all-time classic was
recorded in 1978 with somebody named hokoo and is called *cochin moon*. it
may be the greatest electronic-music album ever [or at least the greatest
from the 70s]. the use of sampled voices, the dazzling array of analog
synths, the simulated insect and animal sounds, the swirling 360-degree
production style all coalesce into an intensely psychedelic listening
experience. unfortunately, the record's as rare as gold dust, but it may be
available from somebody on GEMM.
