alright shadey geezer

[and come on one richard is more than enough;]

>Just plopped in 'ye 'olde diskman the new Richard Thomas fullength
>"shoes and radios attract paint" It's a bit of a dissapointment for me.
>I was hoping for crazy beats and interesting melodies.

i know what you mean, some wire journo in a fit of hyperbolic
overdrive crowned richard as the 'welsh sun-ra', which is a laughable
comment no matter who it is lauded upon, analogies like that just
ignite ones critical prejudices

not quite the genius it's been cracked up to be, but in these
times of big beat bollox and mercantile drum n bass at least it's an
adventurous step in the right direction, as far as i know there are no
computers used on the record, just found sound, tape loops and ye old
skool real live instrumentation, but i have to agree that the parts are
greater than the sum, some inspired moments, but richard fails to stamp
it with any mark of originality and the whole thing renders itself a
composite of previously visited and far superior musical vistas
