Waldorf Gekkos were coloured little kidney shaped units that could sit = on say a dx-7, unlike say the Akai rack arpeggiator or midi "delay". Interesting for say a dx-7 or driving an Oberheim 6r, which interested = me. All of them were designed to interface in an external hardware and = midi DAW/master keyboard setup.=20 Green Gekko =3D chord unit. Input up to 16 notes into chord memory using = a button sustain pedal combo. Included an all notes off. It then is = invoked by the lowest note you play. Blue Gekko=3D trigger unit is odd, You set a limited range of keys and = then load them from the rest of the keyboard with note triggers = (drum/samplers) or chords, I think. Grey (I think) =3D arpeggiator unit with clock division and repeats and = all the usual arp features. I was never able to lay my hands on them here in Canada. I have the pdf = 2 pager manuals if they are not available anymore. I ended up putting a = Supermax in the dx-7. Cool early design think.
