Which is the obvious Take 5 sample? The drumming? I grew up listening
to the Dave Brubeck record (my mom's copy of 'Take 5' is powdery grey
on that track). I guess I can hear that the drums themselves sound
like the drum solo from take five, but a) the piece is in 4 and b) the
drumming is totally rearranged and reprogrammed.

The history of sample piracy suggests that people are not very likely
to pursue people who lift small parts of drum loops or break. Otherwise
about a thousand people would have been sued by James Brown and Clyde
Stubblefield for "funky drummer", or by whatever remains of the Winstons
over the "amen brother" break, or Incredible Bongo Band over "apache."
