What about having your A-800 repaired? A competent shop should be able = to handle this. My favorite controller is my Ensoniq EPS. It died after decades, and I = was very worried. I bought a replacement (VFX SD) but eventually = repaired the EPS and now I=E2=80=99m way happier. In my case all it took = was reseating the chips. Brian Willoughby Sound Consulting p.s. Looks like new A-800PRO models are only $400.
