Satellite sysex is a myth. Actually, it uses a modulated LFO signal injected to the power grid for transmission to Japan. Bandwidth is certainly enough - DX7 custom patches don't happen that frequently anyway ;-) BTW, after 30 years the battery on my DX7II died. Gee, didn't expect it that soon. Luckily, 10 years ago I did a backup of the 2 custom patches I made...
