I think you can download the computer side for free. In other words, if =
the X32 already has Dante, then you can configure the 32 channels and =
tune in on your computer without buying a special interface (unless your =
computer is a laptop without ethernet, in which case you=E2=80=99ll need =
to buy an ethernet adapter).

I wrote the Dante firmware for the Mackie DL32R, DC16 and related Axis =
products. The Dante card is an option on the DL32R, so it does cost =
extra. On the DC16, it=E2=80=99s standard, but there are only a handful =
of channels for the control surface. I=E2=80=99m not familiar with the =
Behringer X32 options versus standard features.

p.s. You=E2=80=99ll note that the reliable USB extender cables actually =
convert the data to something other than USB so that it can be =
transmitted over long distances. Once you=E2=80=99re stuck converted to =
another electrical format, you might as well just ditch the USB.
