It has to do with technical problems. Our manufacturer is not able to manufacture a potentiometer with center detent AND mounting
bracket at the same time. In some modules potentiometers with center detents are used (e.g. A-188-2, A-138e) but these pots do not
have mounting brackets. Consequently such
potentiometers can be used only if the brackets are not necessary for the mechanical stability.

For the vertical type (as used in Dark Energy/Time and soem modules) another combo is not possible: center detent and thread. That's
why the filter type pot of the Dark Energy II is the only wobbly control because of the missing thread.

It's strange but unfortunately we have to accept these issues even if I don't really understand it. But it seems to be not that easy
as we were asking other manufacturers too. No other company was able so far to offer a pot with center detent AND bracket.
