> i don't think warp > needs nothing or matador & i was happy when they stopped putting stuff > out through waxtrax/tvt. no more warp stuff released domestically in > the u.s. for me, advance promo or not. nothing seems to be doing quite an average job with warp releases, but matador's doing it all right -- they even include bonus tracks, which they didn't even do with, say, pole 1/2 or the burger/ink cd (although for all i'm concerned the quality of these re-releases was throughly satisfactory). they also keep graphic design intact, etc. (*cough*horringnothinglogoonep7*cough*) easy to tell from this who's an understanding indie label & who wishes they were one (tvt had that problem too, & matador, to an extent, used to as well but hey, they even dropped liz phair, so things _must_ be getting better). then again -- why would you want to buy anymore warp? i'm so bored with them. do they ever sign any new artists anymore? -- david
