Nature records is proud to announce the start of the new season with the long awaited compilation "Mission two: connecting electronix network" cat n=B0 NAT2112. Available now on double vinyl (and on CD too later on in the year), the compilation features tracks from ten different artists, some of whom are not new to the label, whilst others are making their very first appearance on the roman label. From Rome you'll find "A Credible Eye Witness", "Amp-tek", "Mat-101" and "Passarani 2099"; "Somatic Responses", "Vendor Refill", "D'Arcangelo" and "V/Vm" from the UK;"Phoenicia"from the States, and finally "2 be Freak" (aka Seal Phuric & Olivier Moreau) from Belgium. This compilation is not about a specific type of sound, it simply shows that there are different "crews" on this planet that are trying to develop their own electronic sounds from the underground scene of their own countries; on our behalf, we aim at getting those people in touch with one another with the hope to give more power and flavour to the underground sound of electronic music. Passarani 2099 _ Directly from Nature's laboratory, here's the return of mister 2099 which is nothing but a preview of his first LP for Nature, due to be out around mid-November (officialrelease date tba). In the meanwhile you can check out his latest works for two UK labels: Leaf from England (one track on a CD compilation only) and Diskono from Scotland (one track on a 12" compilation, 500 copies only). D'Arcangelo _ After their return to the "Diagrams 10-14" project (cat n=B0 NAT2110) and waiting for their first LP for the London based Rephlex label, here's a "sample" of the new sound produced by the two roman twin brothers. In the meantime "Engine", their own label, is due out shortly. A Credible Eye Witness _ The roman artist is back after the good debut on the mysterious label ACEW; this time he provides us with a track where abstract atmospheres and good electro rhythms are perfectly blending together, a thing which stands to confirm the quality of his very first single (cat n=B0 ACEW1). Besides a new single is coming out on Plasmek later this year. Mat-101 _ Another happy come-back: Mat-101, the roman electro-pop band made up of Mario Pierro, Francesco de Bellis and Emiliano Tortora. After the Eniac ep on Nature (cat n=B0 NAT2108) and some appearances on different compilations (Plasmek 5 and El.Ex. 5, which is coming up), they brought us a really nice preview of their forthcoming works which will be out on Balance (Nature & Plasmek) in October / November: a single on 7" (cat n=B0 Balance1) and their first LP. Their style is even and even more "arcade"............... Vendor Refill _ In the wait for his first LP on the label of the small industrial tree, composer and programmer Tom Betts gives us a classic track of his repertory in "weird / melodic/ breakbeat" style. This track is on the same wavelenght as his last ep released on Nature "Evil Weevil" (cat n= =B0 NAT2111) and it is its natural follow-up. Phoenecia _ Straight from Miami, here's the project which featured on Warp although it originated from Schematic, a label that has finally found world recognition within the planet of electronic music. The track is peculiarly post electro and it is a good start for potential future collaborations between Nature and the american label. Somatic Responses _ After lots of releases on the best industrial hardcore and xperimental hardtechno labels (Praxis, Uncivilized World etc.), the welsh brothers John and Paul Healy joined us on this compilation, enriching their sound with deep feelings and electronic atmospheres that will surely surprise you. Amp-Tek _ The eclectic experimental jazz rock composer Amp-tek is another guest on this compilation. This track confirms that his work, based on rhythmic - melodic deconstruction (already started on Nature cat n=B0 NAT210= 7 and on his own label Eclectic), is in continuous evolution. Check out his next electroacustic project Entropia that is still in progress. 2 be Freak _ From Bruxelles, Seal Phuric (aka Seekness) and Olivier Moreau (aka Delta Files) put their forces together to create a terrific rythmic vibe full of claustrophobic and disturbing atmospheres, same as those you've heard on their last and impressing works on Reload Ambient, the label dead by now (anyway, it is rumoured that a new one is coming up....). -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states
