Re: [AH] Midi question...

Used a midi monitor... as expected the wx7 is only outputting c2 (breathe co=
ntrol) until I hit a key.
 Then it transmits the note.
It also transmits pitchbend when it s supposed to.
 So aggravating!
I cannot find any sort of local off on the digitone so not sure if that wil=
l work for it

he keyboard, there might always be at least one key down, but as soon as you=
release all keys the MIDI processor will send All Notes Off. This is almost=
fine, so long as you only have mono-timbral synths, and so long as All Note=
s Off puts voices into Release mode instead of silencing the voice. Unfortun=
ately, some synths treat Note Off as a gentle transition into Release mode, b=
ut they treat All Notes Off as a sort of emergency sound kill command. Multi=
-timbral synths sound like crap when connected to one of these keyboard cont=
rollers, because voices are always getting cut short before the full release=
 phase.
