Triphop is a weird thing for me... there is of course the whole Portishead, Tricky, Massive Attack, that school of that. For me, it also includes a lot more energetic stuff like Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Hardkiss/Sunburn labels, Propellerheads, Strata 3 (anybody know more about these guys? their records are a bitch to find), Q-Burn's Abstract Message, Skint label, etc. Stuff that isn't exactly "intelligent" by the definitions of this list, but it still can be good and/or fun. But then, I tend to be pretty wide with genres, I find that pigeonholing everything is too anal. It's all just "techno" to the white people...
