Hugh Davies, "International Catalogue of Electronic Music", 1969 (title
often listed in French).
Michael Nyman, "Experimental Music" 1969. (I know, I know, he also wrote
'The Piano' music).
David Cope, "New Directions in Music", current revision: 1993.
Edward Strickland, "Minimalism: Origins", 1992.

Countless others, of course, but these are a fine place to start, esp. the
Davies Book...
