RE: (idm) industrial <---> IDM

like greg, i've bounced back and forth between idm & industrial realms -
greg, i thought i'd seen your name pop up on r.m.i...

i appreciate both aggression (or at least a darkish emotions) and
complexity. i ususally o.d. on one and then gravitate towards the
other. ya know, listen to reprovisors over and over until i NEED to
listen to last rights. however, when i find music that incorporates
both aspects, i'm a satisfied customer. ae does this better than anyone
i know & that's why they're the poop. rdj pulls it off sometimes, other
times he's kinda wanky. 3ef is usually great, farmers manual (and
matmos to a lesser extent) are interesting but they don't mean anything
& therefore are more of a curiousity. most by the numbers industrial is
just silly or iritating. haujobb & download are good middle grounds but
there must be more...

so, anyone out there got some good suggestions for "intelligent
aggressive music"? i know most of the basics but would appreciate any
I.A.M. suggestions. either beat oriented or not, vocal or not, it's all
good to me.

ethan

btw, who's this david toop character? i've seen his name but i don't
remember ever reading any reviews...
