I thought that jungle was the new jazz. Or thats what the Village Voice says. IDM is more like the new krautrock; 10 people listened to it when it was happening and 10 years after all the bands are gone, everyone will figure out how great it was. Boards of Canada will be the Sand of the 21st Century. Never heard of Sand (austere, minimal krautrock)?
