Hi All,

I am an employee of the online music store called x-radio
(http://www.x-radio.com ). A friend of mine forwarded this note from the
IDM list, of which I am not usually a member. However, I recently
subscribed in order to respond to these comments that were made regarding
our service.

Mr Atkinson (I have also sent this note to him privately):

I'm sorry to hear you received some cd's in bad condition. I am involved
in x-radio ( www.x-radio.com ), and I wanted to let you know that if you
are unhappy with them you can send them back and we will replace them.

I do not know why your cd's were scratched. We do a lot of volume and we
try to make sure the cd's are always in good condition. However, I can
tell you that I, personally, have noticed ( and yanked from the outgoing
mail), cd's that were clearly in bad condition.

Why were they in bad condition? I don't know, because we buy them as NEW
from our distributors. We do not sell used cds. We can only speculate
that somebody at a retail store returned it to the distributor from which
we originally bought them and then it was sold to us.

Please send me a PRIVATE note and we can sort this out.

Thanks for your understanding,
Paul Risenhoover

Mr. Makunas:

Please contact me PRIVATELY and we will be willing to work out something.
We try very hard to make sure our service level is THE highest in the
industry. Most of our customers are extremely satisfied with our attitude
and are happy to keep doing business with us.

And please forgive me for saying this, but it's EXTREMELY unfair for you to
make public comments like you have made without giving us an opportunity to
resolve your situation.

Thank you all for your time,
Paul Risenhoover

I had a similar (but not quite as bad) experience. I ordered 3 CD's from
X-Radio and two of them had damaged cases. They were sent in a padded
envelope but that's not really enough protection. I probably should have
complained and returned them but I decided not to since most of my cases
end up breaking anyway and I figured I'd have to pay shipping.
